E-Cell, IIIT Hyderabad brings to you Megathon 19', one of the largest student organised hackathon in Hyderabad, featuring Embibe as the title sponsor. From its inception in 2016, Megathon has invited huge participation from across colleges and cities with last year seeing more than 1000+ participants. In an attempt to take Megathon to your home, 2018 saw the first online version of Megathon as well. This year we bring to you Howzhack-the online version and Megathon-the offline version. With that spirit, IIIT Hyderabad is conducting a hackathon - HOWZHACK and invites all developers and hackathon enthusiasts to participate in an interesting and engaging hackathon.


Final problem statements to be announced on 7th August


Social Media platform for truck-drivers to share their grievances with other truck-drivers. Also come up with ideas which can motivate the truck drivers to circulate the news about existence of such a platform with other drivers; and encourage other drivers to join this platform. Note: Facebook is not a dedicated platform.


You can just use Computer Vision at Scale as the challenge. The aim would be to think about scaling up computer vision algorithms/applications for mass-market applications including but not limited to agriculture, transporation, retail, mobile services, banking.


App Performance Anomaly detection and Alerting

Input: Time series data of KPI’s Daily : (users, sessions, session lengths etc.) on daily basis, Hourly : purchases made, cart abandonments etc.,
Realtime : Crashes, Network failures etc.,

Output: Solution should detect anomaly and alert to different channels (email, sms, slack etc.,)
